It is true that you can get tires in the sizes that I bought a lot cheaper than the ones I bought but it is unlikely that they will have the same speed rating as mine. The Tires 101 information in the Cars.com Advice section, found here, will help you sort out the different types of tires and which is best for your driving style

Any trailer tires NOT made in China? – Sunline Coach Owner’s Club

I asked about getting tires made in the USA and at that time, the only ones were a brand that I had just had a blow out on, so I chose not to use them again. So for what’s that worth if I need new tires it would be the Maxxis brand for now as I do not have any other options for a ST radial that I would trust being an offshore tire

I recently took delivery on my first, and probably only new fifth wheel I will ever have, needless to say it was not cheap, I brought it home from the dealer and it has been sitting in my yard since. I find it very disturbing to read about folks having tire failures on their maiden voyage on brand new rigs…the most extreme story I came across was one of folks on their way home on the day took delivery

Just found out my car tires were “MADE IN CHINA”, should I be concerned?

i think one of the government agencies was after the importer to recall the tires but the company wouldn’t or couldn’t because they didnt have the money to do that. 17, 2008 @ 11:53a wale said: Can’t think of anything made in China that’s lasted durably for a long time. What about American debt purchases? I also sometimes peruse automotive forums to find out whether drivers of similar cars have used particular brands of tires and, if so, what their experiences were. Also, regardless of manufacturer, some tires they make are good while others are terrible, so it is very important to consider the model (and possibly even the manufacturing plant if the same model is produced in two different plants)

Many racers go to the track with different tires mounted up and wait until the day of the race to make the final decision Utility Type Vehicles or UTV’s have become very popular in the last 2 or 3 years. Why? Because the manufacturers have created machines that are not only fun to drive and in many ways safer than most 4 wheelers, but these vehicles are also work horses that help you get the job done around the acreage or farm

I really don’t want to buy some tire made in China just because the government there subsidizes imports here, it seems self defeating. My 4th choice is the Goodyear Integrity but it is only a 50,000 mile tire and is more expensive than all the others. Even Yokohama has a plant in Virginia, giving an American dimension to its primarily Japanese operations. The question is, which tires are made in the USA?Homegrown tire makers Goodyear and Cooper are still operating extensive factories in the United States

This acquisition would not only make Michelin the largest tire company in the world, but would provide the corporation with a portfolio of strong brands with a rich heritage in the American tire market. As the global demand for radial tires accelerated, Michelin responded with an expansion plan that opened twenty-three new plants, all producing radial tires

Contrary to motogp12′s comment that “all” radial trailer tires are made overseas, and yes, I know that they are stamped as “LT”, not “ST” – they are just fine – likely better for trailering. If in fact LT tires are better for trailering, as some believe, why would a manufacturer design and produce ST tires? Last edited by Timothy Kelly; October 26th, 2011 at 23:40

20, 2010, 07:37 PMNo expert here – but just don’t get talked into light truck tires – they are not up to the job as a friend of mine found out when one blew and she was in the ditch with her horse up to his chest in water. 21, 2010, 07:41 AMI have two virtually brand-new Goodyear Marathon tires on my two-horse trailer; they were replaced LAST YEAR, the trailer is NOT parked on grass or dirt, and I’m very good about making sure tire pressure is correct before hauling

As I was waiting to have new set of American-made Cooper tires put on my Lincoln Town Car at my local tire store, I looked through at all the Goodyear tires they had in stock and the foreign-made ones were not easy to find. You can buy foreign-owned brands like Michelin that are made in the USA, but why buy an American-made tire from a foreign company when you can buy an American-made tire from an American company?
